Isn’t this a nice painting? I have no idea where the setting is. Does anyone know? And does anyone know who the artist is?
Mondays in Berlin tend to be rather subdued. (Everyone’s recovering from the weekend, I guess.) My neighborhood was quiet as an empty church today, which was fine. I continue to work on my Angel Gabriel story, it’s coming along nicely and I don’t think I’ll have any problem meeting the June 30th deadline.
Today was a “gym day” for me. I hop on a bus, then the subway, and in fifteen minutes I’m at Prager Platz where the Elixia Gym is located. It’s funny: this is the third year I’ve joined Elixia for the summer, and the same guys are there every year. I’d say two-thirds of the male members are gay, and everyone is friendly.
The funny thing is, the person who cleans the men’s locker room is a woman about thirty-five years old. All these guys, ages eighteen to sixty, are walking around butt naked and she just cruises through the place with her mop. She’ll stand there and talk with some naked guy about the weather or how his job is going. Germans are so uninhibited!
