Hi, friends and readers:
I arrived in Gainesville around 2:30 PM, changed into my running clothes and drove to campus. I took a half-hour jog, touring areas still familiar to me. Much has changed, but most of the central campus is the same as it was when I attended, back in the 70s. This is the first time I’ve been here in nearly ten years and it brings back many memories, some good, some … not so good. UF was not a welcoming environment for gay students at the time. I hope it’s better now.
I ran past my old fraternity house, located on Fraternity Row. All kinds of hot young men wandered about, most wearing T-shirts and basketball shorts, many with their ballcaps turned backward and flip-flops on their feet. Despite the fact it’s November, the weather here is warm and plenty of flesh is on display. Yum-m-m-m! Were the guys here that good looking when I went to school here?
Have a nice Thursday evening, all.
