I’m normally a very sound sleeper. I hit the bed around midnight and sleep until 8:30 AM or so. I never wake up in the middle of the night. But I’ve been making some changes in my diet and cutting back on my alcohol intake (necessary after the holidays) and I guess my body is saying, “What’s going on here?” The past few nights I’ve been waking up in the wee hours, and I mean wide awake, then I can’t get back to sleep for hours. So, I read or I write, or I take care of correspondence, until I get sleepy again.
This morning, I woke up around one AM, and now it’s 2:15 AM. I received a long e-mail from a friend in the Canary Islands who stayed with me in Berlin this summer, so I wrote him back. I worked on a novella submission, drank some warm milk and finally I am yawning. Anyway, while I’m waiting to snooze, I thought I’d post this nice photo I hope all of you will enjoy. I’m all for peace, arent’ you?
I’ve got a busy Tuesday ahead of me, working on submissions to publishing houses, editing my 80,000 word novel, and doing some housepainting in the afternoon, so, until the morning …
Sleep tight all.
