I’m not a religious person myself; I don’t attend church and haven’t since I was thirteen, by my choice. But as a child I attended Sunday School and church, and I belonged to the Methodist Youth Fellowship. I mean, I was immersed in religion as a kid, and Easter Sunday was always a big deal in our household at that time.
I don’t have an Easter-themed photograph to offer this morning, but I do have a photo of a young man who appears to be leaping from the water, and I’ve posted it here. I think it’s kind of nice, don’t you?
Last night’s visit to the greyhound track was lots of fun. The food and drink were great, and I think I broke even on my bets. The company of my friends was enjoyable, as always. What more could I ask for?
It’s another beautiful spring day on the island: warm and sunny, with a light breeze. I’m already busy making potato salad for my neighbor’s Easter dinner gathering. Eggs and potatoes are bubbiling away in pots. I’ll do a little writing this morning, then I’ll take a walk on the beach, maybe do a three-mile run around three PM. The party starts around five PM.
Happy Easter, everyone. Enjoy your day.
