Another Francisco Lachowski shirtless photo; Nice comment on “Love Quest” …

Hi, friends and readers:

If you follow this blog, then you probably know I’m a major fan of Francisco Lachowski, the Brazilian fashion model whose photo appears at left today. He’s such a sexy guy, but he doesn’t seem to take himself too seriously. And he lets himself be photographed in various states of undress that are clearly aimed at gay men.

Has anyone out there ever met Lachowski? If so, what’s he like?

Outside, it’s rather nasty: rainy and overcast, but at least it’s not cold. The cold’s coming tomorrow. Temperatures will drop into the low 40s again. My poor flowers, my poor herb garden.

Speaking of flowers … yesterday was beautiful here: warm and sunny, and my boyfriend and I had a nice walk on the beach. Afterward, we planted new flowers in front of the house, and I planted new basil in my herb garden (The old basil was looking pretty ragged, and I like using fresh herbs in the dishes I prepare.) There’s something so satisfying about planting new things and watching them grow.

It’ll be a quiet Friday for me. The nasty cold I suffered through ten days ago seems to have returned, albeit in less severe fashion. When we took our three-mile run yesterday, I could tell my energy level was low. Today I’m feeling somewhat crappy. I’ll do a bit of writing and tend to correspondence. Then maybe I’ll go back to bed. My boyfriend’s working tonight, so I’ll hang out here at the house and watch a movie or read. Exciting stuff, eh?

In more cheerful news, I received a nice comment from Dave, a reader in Spokane, Washington, about my novel, Love Quest, published exactly one year ago by Noble Romance Publishing. Dave wrote say, “I’m gay and I grew up in foster care, ages 12-18, and your book really hit home for me. I had to struggle to survive after I left the system like Jamie did. It wasn’t easy. I wasn’t prepared for the real world. But now everything’s okay. Thanks for writing this book.”

Thanks for your comment, Dave. Here’s the book blurb on Love Quest, everyone:

Eighteen year old Jamie Bliss ages out of the foster care system, a victim of repeated sexual abuses. After hustling tricks and living on the street for a time, Jamie enters into a pair of abusive relationships before meeting Evan and Frederick, a gay couple who become Jamie’s mentors. Can they help Jamie overcome his destructive past? His low self esteem? And when Evan introduces Jamie to Evan’s colleague, Jack, a young school teacher who pursues Jamie’s affection, can Jamie open his heart to Jack? Despite the bad cards life has dealt Jamie, is he still capable of love?

If you are interested in buying Love Quest just click on the book’s title on the blogroll to the right and it’ll take you to the Noble Romance website.

Okay, friends, I must get busy with my writing. Wherever you are,  I hope you have a pleasant Friday and a nice weekend.
