Cute guy scratching himself; cool day in Berlin …

Hi, friends and readers:

Sometimes a guy has to scratch himself, right? It’s not rude, really. Just a matter of necessity. It certainly doesn’t offend me? How about you?

We went out to the gay district last night and drank entirely too much beer. It’s so good over here, especially on draft, or vom fass as they say in Germany. But we got in a quarrel with a couple of rent boys, and they threw a beer bottle at us. Smash! We got home way late and we all slept in this morning. I’m afraid I had a hangover, which is just now going away. (It’s 4:30 PM right now in Berlin.)

This afternoon, we visited Schiller Park, which is close to our host’s home. We passed a soccer ball back and forth and threw a Frsisbee. The weather’s cool, around 70 degrees F, and the sun shone much of the time. We ate our picnic lunch there, too.

We’re dining at a Greek restaurant tonight; I don’t know what we’ll do afterward, but it certainly won’t be as excessive as last night. I don’t like hangovers. We may take a long walk and visit a brewery. Or maybe we’ll visit Gendarmenmarkt, a beautiful square in the city center with a spectacualar performing arts building called Konzerthaus, designed by the famed German architect, Schinkel. It’s lit up at night and very pretty to view from an outdoor cafe.

Wherever you are, I hope you’re enjoying your Thursday as much as I am.
