Everyone like this evening’s photo post? Some young men look spectacular in stripes, don’t they? I wonder what his name is and where he lives? I’m guessing he’s Felipe from Columbia, but that’s just a guess.
I had a nice day, getting caught up on correspondence, editing my novel, Dodging A Pearl, and running a half-dozen errands, here on the island. Now my fridge is stocked, and my wine supply is replenished. I mailed a set of keys back to my host in Berlin. This afternoon, around five, I ran three miles and it wasn’t too bad because of the the cloudy skies. I ran into a neighbor who’d been swimming in the Gulf and got bumped by a manatee, no joke. She seemed a little shaken, but I assured her manatees are harmless, they’re just . . . large.
My dinner’s in the over now, and I’ve opened a beer. I think I’ll stay home tonight and work on editing a story I’ll soon be submitting to my editor at Noble Romance Publishing.
In other news, I just received payment from Cleis Press for my story, Track Meat. It appears in a new Cleis anthology titled Hot Jocks. Here’s a link to the Cleis site, where you can take a look at the book:
As you can see, the cover art’s pretty sexy. All the stories involved gay athletes of some type, and mine has two main characters who are distance runners. They meet at the campus track at Florida State University, where I attended law school. I used to train at that track every evening. I think Track Meat’s a sexy tale. The whole collection’s edited by Richard La Bonte’, one of the best in the business.
Okay, I must go. Enjoy your Thursday evening, everyone.
