Hi, friends and readers:
Ever been on a sailboat? I used to own one, a 32-footer I’d sail in Tampa Bay. I could’ve lived on the darned thing, it was so large. Sailboats are actually a pain-in-the-butt, because they’re always having mechanical problems. They require much maintenance. But when you’re under sail on a pretty day, there’s nothing quite like it. Especially if a couple of cute young men are aboard, like the two in this evening’s photo post. They’re a nice pair of deckhands, aren’t they?
I was up at four AM this morning, so I could take a relative to the hospital for surgery this morning. I had to sit in a waiting room four hours, to hear the results from the surgeon. (A nice guy, by the way.) Everything went fine, but now it’s 5:30 PM and I’m dragging.
I made a second trip to the hospital, and I did my usual workout and lap-swimming at the YMCA. Now, I’ve already put dinner in the oven and I’ve opened a beer. It’s time to relax and then get to bed early. I keep yawning as I type this. (I know … call me “grandpa.”)
Many people have written today about the comments from Dean I posted this morning. He’s the young triathlete from Oregon who’s having problems with his family and their refusal to accept his sexual orientation. Thanks to everyone who contacted me on this. No, I am sorry but I can’t put you in contact with Dean. I know you mean well, but I have to respect his privacy.
Have a nice Wednesday night, everyone.
