Lover boys kissing in public; breezy Friday morning on the island …

Hi, friends and readers:

What do you think of this morning’s photo post? I love photos of two guys getting affectionate in public. I mean, why not? Straight people do it without thinking twice, and I’m fine with that. Why should they care if gay men do it? I always get a surge of pleasure out of holding my boyfriend’s hand when we’re at a gay club or we’re walking on the beach at night. Maybe the day will come when we can do so in the supermarket. In Europe, it’s not unusual to see gay men kissing or holding hands. Why not here? (Okay, Martin: get down from that podium ….)

One more thing about this morning’s photo post: I think the picture was taken in Florida. That’s a Sabal palm in the background; it’s our state tree. And the rest of the background looks very “Florida-ish”. Anybody know for certain where the source of the photo was?

I slept in late this morning. I planned to take a 1-1/2 mile walk on the beach, but it’s too darned windy down there today. A steady breeze of 15-20 MPH is blowing and it’s not comfortable getting sand blown in your face while you are walking. I’ll stay inside and write this morning. I have plenty to do, you see.

This afternoon, my boyfriend and I will work out together at the YMCA before he goes to work. I’m going to a live concert in town tonight, at a small venue (200 people or so). The band’s called “Reverend Horton Heat” and they are not a Christian band. A friend insisted I go with him, so it’ll be Martin and the kiddies hopping around. I’m not sure if this will be the “black T-shirt” crowd or no. I’ll let you know tomorrow.

Have a nice Friday everyone. The weekend’s here!
