Do you like this morning’s photo post. I sure do. If you are wondering what the young man’s up to, let me explain. When guys go surfing, they don’t want to get into their cars in their wetsuits. So, they bring along an oversized towel and a change of clothes — usually board shorts and maybe a pair of briefs. Once their surf session is finished, they’ll wrap the towel around their waist in the parking lot. They’ll wriggle out of their wetsuit, then slip into their dry clothes. I’ve seen it done hundreds of times. Occasionally, the towel will fall off during the process and you’ll see some amazing sights.
I’m up early, after a really fun birthday party at our home last night. About ten close friends came. Everyone brought food and wine and we had a good time. I’m so lucky to live where I do. My boyfriend really knocked himself out, organizing things and making sure everything went smoothly. He’d due for extra smooches today.
I took a 1-1/2 mile walk on the beach this morning, just after sunrise. It was beautiful down there, but a little cooler than it was ten days ago. I had to wear a sweatshirt and the sand was a bit chilly on my bare feet. I watched the sun come up over the Intracoastal Waterway, and the pelicans were dive-bombing schools of fish in the Gulf. What a nice way to start my day.
Have a good Monday, friends.
