You never know what you’ll come across when you take a hike in the fields, do you? Wouldn’t it be nice to encounter a handsome young man, sleeping there? (“Excuse me, but would you mind if I joined you? It looks so … comfortable down there.”)
Well, it’s Monday morning, and I know it’s not many people’s favorite time of the week. But I hope this morning’s photo post brightens your day. He’s cute, isn’t he? I wonder what his name is?
My boyfriend and I took a walk on the beach this morning, about eight AM. It rained last night and right now the sky is overcast, the air damp. But that’s okay; it beats the summer heat we’ve endured for five months. At least now we can walk outside without breaking a sweat. It was peaceful at the shore. The Gulf was calm and not too many people were about.
Now we’re home. My boyfriend’s reading the newspaper, and I’m about the get busy doing edits on my novel, Dodging a Pearl. I know, it must seem like the Pearl project will never end. The length of the book has reached 100,000 words, and it’ll likely grow to 115,000 before I am done. This is an enormous task I’ve put off doing for a few years, and it’s high time I completed the job. The story takes place in Brevard County, where I just spent three days. It’s not a “gay” novel; it’s more “mainstream”, but I think most of my gay readers would still enjoy the book.
Okay, I need to get to work, so I’ll wish everyone a happy Monday, wherever you may be.
