Two slabs of beef for your viewing pleasure; another windy day on the island ….

Hi, friends and readers:

Okay, I’ll admit it: I’m not a worshiper of beefcake. I prefer more “willowy” guys for my photo posts. But I can certainly appreciate the beauty of a guy with bulging muscles, and I will admit, the two young men in today’s post are uber sexy.

Would I turn down a date with either? If I were single, hell no. But I’m happily partnered, so I leave them to you.

I took my three-mile walk this morning, but it wasn’t too pleasant. The wind is still gusting about 20 MPH, nonstop. I wore a sweatshirt and sweatpants, and I walked on the east side of the island because conditions were just too windy on the beach, When is this crap going to stop? Normally, I’d ride 15 miles on my bike this afternoon, but there’s no way I’ll do that in this blustery weather. I will do some yard work outdoors.

I have new plants to place in pots, including a new basil plant to replace the one that burned up in this summer’s heat. And I have three coleus plants for my back porch. I bought three more bags of mulch yesterday, and I’ll spread their contents on the parkway in front of my house. Exciting stuff, eh?

I spent 2-1/2 hours working on my new novel this morning, after my walk. It’s a long, rambling story about the evolution of a young man from closeted fraternity boy to “out there” gay male. I like the main character, Andy Hunsinger, very much. He’s caring, and he’s not afraid to take risks in the name of love. The book will likely exceed 40,000 words, by the time I finish it, and I think my readers will enjoy it.

I’m not sure what I’ll do with my evening. But I’m sure I’ll talk with my lovely boyfriend via phone, and maybe I’ll watch sunset with my neighbors if this damned wind ever dies down. Wherever you are, friends, I hope you’re enjoying your Tuesday.
