When you live in coastal Florida, sunglasses are not so much a fashion statement as they are a necessity. The water and sandy beaches here create quite the glare, and without sunglasses you’ll find yourself squinting nonstop. So, most everyone wears them when they are outdoors.
My taste in sunglasses runs to the traditional. Thus, after I broke my old pair of prescription sunglasses last week, I replaced them with some classic Ray Ban Wayfarers. I think they look pretty good on me, but maybe not quite as good as the guy’s at left look on him.
That’s clearly a dock he’s sitting on, probably at a fresh water lake. Would you like to take a boat ride with him? Maybe rub sunscreen on his back for him? Of course you would …
Here’s another guy wearing sunglasses. Now, I’d say his glasses are too large for his face, but that’s only my opinion. And really, who cares? Look at his beautiful smile and that unruly hair. Aye-yi-yi, he’s definitely boyfriend material. I wonder what his name is and where he lives? I’m guessing he’s Matt from Pembroke Pines, FL. He’s at art major at Florida International University, and he drives to school in his mom’s old Toyota Corolla.
Okay, this will be a long day for me. I need to do laundry and pack my bag for my visit to Gainesville, where I’ll stay with my boyfriend two nights. A friend is riding up there with me. The drive takes about three hours. We’ll go to the basketball game at UF tonight, while my boyfriend’s at work. Then I get to spend all day Sunday with my boyfriend. What a great way to spend the weekend.
Enjoy your Saturday, friends, wherever you might be.
