It’s rare I’ll post a photo that has appeared on this website before; I like to keep things fresh. But many visitors to this site only began following me within the last two years, so they have not seen the two photos I’m putting up this morning. They are among my all-time favorites, not only because the young men appearing in them are beautiful, but because I like the way they are posed and the expressions on their faces.
The photo to the left is clearly an amateur shot; it’s a bit grainy and the lighting’s not good, but it’s a fine piece of work nonetheless. And the young man’s face is almost vulpine, or “wolf-like.” There is a touch of cruelty in his eyes; he seems like the type of guy who could hurt your feelings if you let him inside your heart.
The second photo is entirely different. It’s a professional shot, and the young man doesn’t look like he has a cruel bone in his body. I like his freckles and the scar on his nose. And his expression is sphinx-like. Is he as innocent as he appears? Wouldn’t you like to find out?
It’s a quiet Thursday, here on the island. I rose about 7:30 this morning to take my three-mile walk on the shore. Already, the temperature was in the high 80’s, and it’s going to be another sweltering day here. I’m done with my writing for the day, so I’ll spend the afternoon indoors, working on promotional stuff for my books.
My boyfriend is working again tonight, so I’ll be on my own. Maybe I’ll take another moonlit walk on the beach, or maybe I’ll take a swim in the pool at our timeshare down the street. Doesn’t sound like a bad evening, does it? Wherever you are today, I hope you’re having a pleasant Thursday, friends.
