I don’t watch TV, except for the occasional football game I watch with my sports-fanatical boyfriend. So, I have never seen Dylan O’Brien’s show, which I believe is called Teen Wolf. But I am tempted to tuned in this season, just to hear Dylan’s voice and also to watch his facial expressions, which seem to be rather . . . animated.
Anyway, I came across these video clips featuring Dylan, and I thought I would share them with you guys tonight. I know this morning’s post discussing the coming out process was a bit heavy, so I thought I would post something lighter tonight.
I woke this morning about three AM, suffering from The Midnight Disease. (An affliction writers’ suffer from, where we wake in the we hours and feel compelled to write for an hour or two.) I drank two glasses of wine, wrote for a bit, and then returned to my boyfriend in our king-size bed. I didn’t rise until 10:00 AM, but that’s okay.
My boyfriend’s working tonight. In fact, he’ll work eight days straight, and that means plenty of alone time for Martin. It’s fine; I have tons of work to do in the writing department, and there’s beer in the fridge. What more do I need to fill my evenings?
Thanks to everyone who wrote me today, discussing the coming-out process and all it entails. No, it’s never easy to tell your friends and loved ones you are gay, but it’s a lot worse hiding the fact. In my book, the sooner you lay your cards on the table, the better. If someone rejects you because of your sexual orientation, they never loved oyu in the first place; they only loved the person they thought you were, whatever that may have been.
“We always hoped Josh would give us grandchildren, but now that won’t happen. How could he disappoint us like this?” or “Dude, I can’t believe you’re a cocksucker. Now I can;t be seen with you anymore.” Well, you don’t need those people in your life. It’s their loss if you are no longer part of their life.
Sayonara, Mom. Adios, muchacho. And good luck ever finding another son or friend like me.
Okay, rant over. Enjoy the Dylan O’Brien videos. You can’t help but smile when you look at him, can you? Have a nice Tuesday night, friends.
