There’s something special about photos of young men in the rain; I’m not sure why. But I really like both pictures I have posted here today. One of my favorite songs of all time is titled Kathy’s Song by Paul Simon. I thought of it last night when a huge rainstorm blew across our little island. I sat on the back porch, listening to the rain drum the tin roof. I was tired after performing a good deal of yard work on my property yesterday afternoon, and the sound of the rain and the dripping of water from my eaves really soothed me. If you want to listen to Kathy’s Song you can find it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q60YKfPKdjQ
I slept in very late this morning; I don’t know why. I guess all that yard work tired me out. But I didn’t take my usual walk on the beach this morning, and now it’s almost lunch time. In a little while, my boyfriend and I will visit the YMCA for a workout and lap-swimming. Then my boyfriend’s off to work and I’ll spend the evening at home by myself.
I’m not sure what I’ll do with myself tonight. It’s not a matter of having nothing to do; it’s a question of which writing project I’ll choose to work on. So much is going on in my fiction writing career, and I’m having trouble keeping up.
I’m experiencing very heavy traffic on this website this week. Again, I don’t know why, but thanks to everyone who has stopped by. I especially appreciate all the guys who wrote in about the “coming out” process gay men must go through, usually during adolescence or during their early twenties. I love you guys; I really do.
Have a nice Wednesday, everyone.
