You guys know how much I like black-and-white photography. When I come across photos I like, I save them to share with all of you. Aren’t I a generous guy?
If you follow this site, then you know I sometimes visit Florida’s East Coast, Brevard County to be exact, for a bit of surfing. I’m not a good surfer, but I enjoy the sport, and I also enjoy seeing all the beautiful young men who sit on the lineup alongside me. The guy to the left would typify a Brevard County surfer: bushy hair, broad shoulders, lean physique.
I rose early this morning for my usual walk on the beach. Things were downright eerie on the shore, very foggy and still. The fog made it hard to see much, and I encountered very few people on my walk. Actually, I enjoyed the creepy weather, as I am currently working on a spooky story that may morph into a short novel. It’s coming right along, almost writing itself.
Have a look at the photo to the left. Isn’t it beautiful. Sure, the young man’s attractive, but the lighting’s interesting and I love the expression on his face. It displays the arrogance of youth, when we take our beauty for granted, and think it will last forever. (Believe me, it doesn’t.)
A severe cold front is heading for Florida, and though my morning beach walk was pleasant, the temperature is dropping rapidly, and the winds ware picking up. Tomorrow night we may have below-freezing temperatures, a rarity for central Florida, and that means we’ll have to cover up our outdoor flowers to prevent them from frost damage. It’s okay, the cold kills insects, so we won’t have as many bugs this summer. See, there’s a silver lining to everything.
In a few minutes, my boyfriend and I will have a nice lunch, and then it’s off to the YMCA for a workout and lap-swimming. Thankfully, the pool is indoors, so we’ll be warm despite the cold and windy weather.
Have a nice Monday, everyone.
