How come a plaid shirt flatters a young man’s appearance so well? Is it the multitude of colors? I don’t know, but both guys in today’s photo posts look great in their plaid shirts, don’t you think?
It’s a beautiful day, here on our little island, albeit too chilly for me to walk on the beach this morning. At least the wind has died down and the sun is shining. I see folks walking by our house all bundled up, with gloves on their hands and beanies on their heads. It sure doesn’t look like Florida, but that’s okay.
I tried to watch a gay-themed Netflix rental last night, titled Romeos; it looked interesting, but I was so tired by the time I started the film I couldn’t stay awake, so I went to bed and slept until 8:30 this morning. It’s okay, my sleep pattern’s been screwy lately and I needed the rest.
Have a look at the young man to the left. I love the way the he’s posing himself in a cocky manner — this is clearly an amateur photo — and I like the expression on his face. He almost has a wolf-like appearance, doesn’t he? And that body. Aye-yi-yi ….
My boyfriend’s working today, but we’ll both visit the YMCA after lunch, for a workout and lap-swimming, and then he’ll drive to work while I return to our island to spend a quiet Friday night, perhaps doing a little more work on my new story. It’s moving right along, already up to 8,500 words, and I’m only getting started. The story has supernatural elements to it, something I don’t often write about, and I’ve done research to make sure I’m getting things right. I have no idea exactly how the story will turn out, I never do whether I’m writing a novel or a short story. When I write, my characters tend to take over the story themselves, and I’m just along for the ride. I know that sounds strange, but it’s how writing fiction works for me.
Have a nice Friday, friends, wherever you might be.
