If you are lucky enough to have a live-in boyfriend, then you are familiar with the simple joy of waking up next to him every morning. If you’re smart, you’ll spend a bit of time snuggling before the two of you get out of bed; it’s a great way to start the day. Okay his hair is tousled and maybe his breath is a bit . . . stinky, but who cares about those little things? A bit of smooching and caressing will put your head in the right place.
It’s another cold day, here on the island, and I mean cold-cold. The weather forecast says it’ll go down into the lower forties for the next two nights. Before we left for town last night, I brought in my orchid plants so they won’t be damaged by the frigid air and gusty winds we’re having.
This afternoon, I’m picking up sandwiches at Subway, and then I’m taking them to a friend who’s in a nursing home in the city. We’ll share our lunch and chat about whatever he wants to discuss. Then I’ll visit the golf course to practice my swing and put yesterday’s lesson to good use. I know it’ll be frigid at the gold course, but I’ll bundle up enough to stay warm while I’m out there. You can’t become a good golfer if you don’t practice regularly, so I’ll brave the cold.
Wherever you are, I hope the sun is shining, and I hope you’ll have a wonderful Thursday. Stay warm, friends. 🙂
