Where I live, on central Florida’s Gulf Coast, you don’t often see guys in beanies because we don’t have much cold weather. Normally, the temperatures will rarely go below fifty around here.
Not this year. Like most of the rest of the country, we are having an abnormally cold winter. I just went outside to get my newspaper off the sidewalk and . . . B-r-r-r-r-r. It’s windy, damp and cold again today. Maybe I need to purchase a beanie. I sure like the way the guys in today’s photo posts look in theirs. I think that’s a University of Wisconsin beanie on the guy in the top photo. I’ll bet it’s cold in Madison today. I wouldn’t mind helping him stay warm. How about you?
I rose around 7:30 this morning. No way I was taking a walk on the beach today; the weather’s simply too nasty. So I made breakfast and now I’m at my desktop computer, ready to work on my latest story, which has now officially morphed into a short novel. I’m at 16,000 words already, and the story’s still just starting. Who knows how it will end?
Part of the story deals with the practice of auto-erotic asphyxiation (AEA), where people, mostly young men, will use a belt or rope to cut off the blood supply to their brain while masturbating. It’s something I would never try. When I was a kid, I remember a teenage boy in my neighborhood ended up strangling to death while doing this; it’s high-risk stuff. You can read about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erotic_asphyxiation
My contractor is returning today to finish my construction project, so I’ll need to stay around the house today, in case he needs any decisions made while the work’s taking place. I’ll work on my story, take care of correspondence, and keep myself busy.
Have a nice Friday, everyone.
