As promised, I am sticking to our black-and-white theme this morning. I hope you’ll like both photos as much as I do. I particularly like the top photo because the young man’s body is almost identical to my beautiful boyfriend’s physique. Aren’t I lucky?
We rose early this morning, to walk down the street to a cafe where we ate a nice breakfast before the crowds arrived. Then we came back home and took a nap. The weather is beautiful here today: sunny, still and about 78 degrees F. My kind of winter weather. We have our doors and windows open, and I can hear seabirds crying at the beach down the road. This is so much better than the cold, rainy and windy weather we’ve had of late. I hope things stay this way.
Okay, today is Super Bowl Sunday, which is kind of a non-event in my book, but I know for many people it’s a big deal, and that’s okay. My boyfriend’s a football fan, so we’ll watch the game and I’ll prepare cheeseburgers on the charcoal grill. We’ll drink beer and wine, and I will cheer for Seattle because their quarterback, Russell Wilson, is cute as hell and a sweet guy too.
I’m also attending a live opera performance in the city this afternoon. The name of the opera is Susannah, it’s was written by a U. S. composer in the 1950’s, and it was first performed at Florida State University, where I attended law school. I love live performances, be they concerts, plays, or opera, and I am really looking forward to seeing this one. I’m going with my good friend and neighbor who got me a ticket someone else wasn’t going to use, and I am real excited to spend a few hours hearing music I haven’t before heard. The performance venue is a beautiful, 1920’s building that was formerly a Christian Science church, a huge and unique auditorium.
So, I have a lot on my plate today, as they say, so I’ll wish everyone a wonderful Sunday, wherever you might be.
