In praise of slender guys; Martin’s home from his road trip ….

at the windowHi, friends and readers:

A lot of gay men strictly like muscular guys with carved chests and bulging biceps. I get that whole thing. A sinewy guy can be a lot of fun in the sack, but I really like slender guys too; I find them super sexy, like the two in today’s photo posts.

When I was in high school and college I was super skinny. I was 6’2″ tall my freshman year at University of Florida, but I weighed only 155 pounds. I sort of looked like the guy to the left. At the time I didn’t like the way I looked. Being skinny  wasn’t considered attractive back then; every guy wanted to look athletic. But I sense that’s not the case anymore. I think it’s okay to be slender now, even maybe desirable in many peoples’ eyes. As long as a guy has a defined chest and a little bit of arm and shoulder muscles, he looks just fine to me.

slenderYesterday morning we drove up to Gainesville, and while my boyfriend went to his meetings at the university, I walked around the entire campus for the first time in probably nine months. It’s a beautiful place: Gothic style, red brick buildings, and many huge trees. Of course I encountered multitudes of beautiful and slender young men, most wearing shorts, t-shirts and flip-flops since the weather was sunny and abnormally warm. A group of shirtless guys did pull-ups on the bars in front of the ROTC building, looking quick sleek and handsome. Let me tell you, my walk was definitely worth the effort. 🙂

The Gators v. Missouri game last night was super exciting. The Gators trailed for most of the game, but then they went ahead in the final eight minutes. They won the game 68-58, a nice win since Missouri’s pretty good this year. The arena was nearly sold out and the crowd was quite loud and boisterous. What a great way to spend a winter evening in north central Florida.

slender #2We’re home now, and feeling a bit tired from all that driving, and maybe because of the partying we did last night. My boyfriend and I drank beer at a micro-brewery for about an hour. Then we met friends at a nice restaurant known for its Southern cuisine and cocktails. I drank an “Old Fashioned”, a pretty strong whiskey drink that certainly lit my fuse. I drank a glass of wine with my meal, and I was buzzed by the time we reached the basketball arena.

It’s foggy and warm on the island this afternoon. We have the doors and windows open, and it’s kind of nice. In about a half hour we’ll climb back into the Element, and then we’ll drive into the city for a golf lesson with our guru/instructor Jeff. He’s an amazing teacher and a very nice guy as well. Okay, my golf game still sucks but that’s not his fault; I’m just a slow learner when it comes to sports, you see.

Okay, time to put on my golfing duds. You guys have a wonderful Wednesday, okay? And if you see a skinny guy on the street, be sure to tell him he’s cute. He’ll appreciate it.

  1. Wow, the guy in the top photo is just about perfect according to my taste. I could easily fall for a guy like him. Oh my…

Enjoy your nice weather. I’m a little jealous, because we got about 7″ of snow last night in Indiana. Ugh. I’m very much enjoying the slender pics. Keep em comin’! 🙂
