Do you like the photos I’ve posted here this morning as much as I do? There’s nothing quite as sexy as a young man with a set of rippling abdominal muscles, is there? And it’s so unfair, how only guys under the age of twenty five manage to keep their abs on display. But that’s life. At least we older guys can look.
I rose at eight this morning, to take my usual three-mile walk on the beach. Conditions were nice down there: sunny, still, and slightly cool. I wore a long-sleeved t-shirt and gym shorts, and I was completely comfortable.
I spent my morning working on a scene in my new novel. This was going to be a short story, but somehow it developed legs of its own and now I’m up to 18,000 words, with no end in sight. That’s okay, I like it when my characters take over a story. I just let them run the show, and away we go.
This will be a typical Monday for us. After lunch, we’ll visit the YMCA for a workout and lap-swimming, our first visit there since we left for Panama, which was two weeks ago. It’ll feel good to get my bones moving and my heart chugging.
I’m not sure exactly what we’ll be up to this evening. I have much to do in the writing department, and maybe we’ll build a fire in our new portable fire pit. By the way, we watched Django in Chains last night, and I have to say I was disappointed. Way too much violence, no lovable characters, and way too long. I fell asleep at the end; that’s how much I thought of the film.
Have a nice Monday, everyone.
