I’m a sucker for a guy with a dazzling smile, always have been, and I think they guys in today’s photo posts have great smiles. Their facial expressions bring a smile to my lips, in fact, and that’s what I like about beautiful smiles: they’re contagious. When I’m out shopping or I’m ordering at a fast-food place, I try to remember to smile at the person behind the counter; I thin k it brightens their day.
I went to bed last night feeling very tired, and I ended up sleeping until 9:30 this morning, so I did not take my usual three-mile walk on the beach today. I’m not happy about that, but I needed the rest, and now I’m feeling pretty good. I spent 90 minutes writing this morning before I was interrupted by my building contractor and two subcontractors working on our construction project.
This whole project has been a lot more complicated than I ever expected, but things are turning out really nicely, so the trouble has been worth it. The roofing company will complete installation of our new metal roof this afternoon. No more leaks!
My boyfriend has the day off, and this afternoon will be a jumble of errands, here on the island and in the city as well. I hate spending so much time in the car, tending to boring matters, but it has to be done, so after lunch we’ll hit the road. I’m not sure what we’ll do with our evening, but maybe we’ll visit our timeshare to spend a little time splashing about the pool.
Have a nice Thursday, everyone, and don’t forget to smile several times today. It’ll make you feel better about the world, I promise.
