At least once a week, I like to devote a post to quality black-and-white photography, and this week it’s today. As I’ve said before, I know most people prefer color photos, but I think black-and-white photography makes the viewer focus more on a picture’s content.
Take the photo to the left. Yeah, the guy is beautiful, but the expression on his face lets us know he’s deep in thought. I find myself asking, “What’s he thinking about? The troubles in his life? His boyfriend? Who knows?
I skipped my walk on the beach this morning because I needed to meet with my building contractor and the electrical subcontractor, to finalize the mounting of lights and a ceiling fan on our new observation deck. This will be the last work remaining to be done before our construction project is complete.
Have a look at the young man to the left. Again, he’s attractive, but look at the expression on his face. He almost looks distressed, doesn’t he? What’s he worried about? Also, notice how the light source reflects in his eyes? Again, the photo asks more questions than it answers, and I like that.
Today will be a typical Wednesday for me. I’ve already finished my writing for the day, and after I complete this post I’ll catch up on correspondence. I’ll have a quick bite to eat, some kind of leftovers, and then I’ll drive into town to visit the YMCA. I’ll perform a full workout, and then swim laps in the indoor pool. I know some people abhor exercise, but I really enjoy my visits to the “Y”, especially at this time of year when it’s too hot and humid to exercise outdoors.
My lovely boyfriend’s attending classes today, so I’ll be exercising on my own, but that’s okay. I’ll see him at home late this afternoon. Have a nice Wednesday, everyone.
