Did you think I’d fallen off the face of the Earth? No, I didn’t post yesterday because I didn’t have time to. When we woke yesterday morning, the sky was overcast and the air was cool because of all the rain we’ve had the past three days. We decided to take advantage of the coolness, which won’t last long.
We visited a plant nursery in the city, where we bought about 25 shrubs, along with enriched soil and a new shovel. Then we landscaped our front yard where our new observation deck was just completed. It took four hours of hard labor, digging holes in sand full of seashells that was as hard as a rock. We had to mix the enriched soil with the crappy soil, and then plant the plants in the ground. Whew …. But now the front yard looks better than ever, and the job is done.
By the way, do you like the “cute guys in headphones” photos I have posted here this afternoon? I have a nice set of headphones myself, but when I wear them I don’t look as good as the two guys in these photos. 🙁
This morning, I climbed into the Element with my phone, i-Pod, travel cup full of coffee, and my sunglasses. Then I drove inland to visit a loved one in a nursing home. I brought lunch for us to share and we we had a nice visit. The round trip is 130 miles, and the whole thing takes about 4-1/2 hours, but know she appreciated the visit. Aren’t I a nice guy?
My boyfriend is working tonight, so I’m on my own this evening, and that’s okay. I’ll do edits on my novel-in-progress, and maybe watch a little football on TV. I have leftovers in the fridge, so I’m set.
Have a nice Sunday, everyone.
