I know, I know …. Selfies can be the most boring, nonsensical photos we all encounter in the cyberworld, but occasionally I’ll come across a few I think are worthy of sharing with you, my lovely readers. I love the way the guy in the top photo is puffing out his cheeks.
I watched my Florida Gators barely beat Tennessee early this afternoon. Then I drove to Home Depot to buy bags of pebble rocks and more plants for the area around our new deck. When I came home, I spread the rocks and planted the plants, and now thing look really nice out front.
The weather here on our island took a very sudden turn. Right now, it’s about 75 degrees outside, breezy and dry. It’s our first fall weather of 2014, and it could not have come too soon. I took advantage of the coolness to get my yard work done, and now I’m finished. I just opened a cold beer, and I’m ready for a relaxing evening at home.
My boyfriend is working tonight, the poor lad, so I am left to my own devices, and that’s okay. I have a new novel coming out in December, and I just received my proofing galleys from my editor and I have much to do. I have to go over everything with fine-tooth comb to spot any errors either I or my editor missed in earlier reviews. When you are talking about a 65,000-word book, there are so many chances for errors to slip through, so I’ll have to concentrate.
All right, everyone, I need to get busy, so I will wish everyone a wonderful Saturday night, wherever you might be.
