We don’t have very good surf on Florida’s Gulf Coast; if you want big waves you travel to the east coast where the action is better. But you can put a boogie board to use, here on my little island. I sure wish I had been there when the video clip I’ve posted was shot. Nice butt, eh? 😉
Today, I was “St. Martin”. A friend needed someone to drive him to and from Tampa for day surgery, and I said I would. Little did I know the excursion would consume my entire day. I thought we’d never get out of that damned hospital. But the surgery was a success and my friend’s quality of life will improve greatly. He’s considerably younger than me; I have known him since he was in high school, and I was glad to be of service. You do these things for your friends, right?
Now I’m home, and it’s a beautiful evening on the island: dry, sunny, cool and breezy. Yeah, I think we may have seen the last of summer’s heat, and that’s fine with me; I’m tired of sweating. I’m preparing a homemade pizza for our dinner this evening, and right now I am ready to drink a few “brewskis” on my new observation deck. With this beautiful weather, it should be nice up there. I’ll watch the sailboats pass while I listen to my i-Pod tunes. Ah-h-h-h. fall in Florida.
Have nice Wednesday night, friends.
