It’s a beautiful fall morning, here on the island, and I’m in the modd for some quality black-and-white photography, so here are two of my favorites. The one to the left I just came across, while the one below comes from my permanent archive. I think they both capture the beauty of young men perfectly.
I have an easy day ahead of me. In about thirty minutes I’ll head into town to buy mulch, and then I’ll spend a few hours cleaning up an area of our property I have long neglected. I’ll trim shrubs, rake fallen leaves, plant new shrubs, and put down mulch. You see, at this time of year, I actually enjoy doing yard work because the weather’s so nice. Our high temperature today won’t go past 82, and the humidity’s down, perfect for outdoors activities.
My dinner date last night turned out to be a really nice evening. My neighbor and I had plenty of laughs, and our meal was excellent. The restaurant is owned by a local family that has been here for several generations. I went to high school with some of the boys. The restaurant is filled with artifacts from he early days of the Gulf Beaches, and since I’m an artifact myself, I felt right at home.
Okay, I need to get myself busy, so I will close this post by wishing all of you a wonderful Saturday, wherever you might be.
