Boating’s a big thing in coastal Florida; we love spending time on the water. If course, it’s an expensive past time. I have owned a 32-foot sailboat and a two powerboats over the years, but now I just rent a boat for the day if I want to hit the water. That way I don’t have to pay for a boat slip, insurance, and maintenance, which can get real expensive. It’s funny, when a young man climbs aboard a boat, the first thing he does is kick off his sandals and take off his shirt, which makes for a very nice experience from my perspective. 😉 I think both guys in today’s photo posts look great, don’t you?
I rose at 8:00 this morning, to take my usual three-mile walk on the beach. Like yesterday, the tide was super-low, which made for a nice walking surface. The Gulf was calm and only a light breeze blew. I was comfortable in a long-sleeved t-shirt and bathing trunks. Of course, I always walk barefoot.
I spent two hours working on my novel-in-progress. Astrology plays a large part in the book, and since I didn’t know much about astrology when I started this novel, I had to educate myself on the topic. It’s curious stuff, and I don’t think it has much credibility, but still it’s interesting to read about.
Since today is Tuesday, I won’t be visiting the YMCA for exercise. Instead, I’ll ride ten or twelve miles on my hybrid bike, out here on the island. There’s a nice neighborhood with smooth, flat roads and very little traffic, where I’ll do my cycling. At this time of year, with the nice weather and sunshine, I enjoy my rides.
My boyfriend is working tonight, so I’ll be on my own this evening, and that’s okay. I have much to do in the writing department. Have a nice Tuesday, everyone.
