You guys know how much I like good black-and-white photography, especially when the subject is a beautiful young man, like either guy in today’s photo posts. I find the young man to the left especially appealing. He looks like he’s immersed in a deep thought, but what’s he pondering exactly? It’s anybody’s guess, isn’t it?
I had a restless night last night. I ended up wide awake at 3:30 this morning, so I got out of bed, and then I read for three hours, until I got sleepy again. Then I went back to bed for two hours. I woke feeling groggy and a bit out of sorts, but I got to work on my novel-in-progress, and by eleven AM I had made significant progress on a new scene for the book. It’s a complicated and lengthy story, but one I’ve enjoyed writing immensely. I especially like my main character, who is a cross-country distance runner named Nate.
Today’s a typical Monday for me. I’ll share lunch with my boyfriend, and then I’ll drive into town to visit the YMCA for a workout and lap-swimming in the indoor pool. It’ll be good for me, as it gets me of the island I live on and gets my blood pumping. I always look forward to seeing some of the regulars who to there at the same time as I do.
My boyfriend’s not going with me today, as he has to study for his final exams, which begin tomorrow. He’ll be studying hard tonight as well, so it’ll be a quiet evening, here at the house, for the both of us, and that’s okay. Since I didn’t get enough sleep last night, I’ll likely hit the bed early.
Have a great Monday, everyone.
