I know it’s December now, and most people don’t consider it “beach season”, but here in central Florida we do. Okay the Gulf’s a bit brisk these days, but it’s still nice enough to walk on the beach in a pair of boardshorts. I think both guys in tonight’s photo posts look great in theirs, don’t you?
I had a good workout and lap-swimming session at the YMCA, and then I came straight home because I had to work on a publisher’s marketing document for a book I have coming out at the end of the month. Now I’m done and I’m having a beer as I write these words.
It’s actually very pretty night, here on the island. The temperature’s in the mid-70’s and the wind has stopped blowing, so I think I’ll visit our new observation deck to enjoy the view of the Intracoastal Waterway. I wonder if any boys in boardshorts will be cruising past on the sailboats or powerboats? 😉
My boyfriend’s engrossed in his studies, so I’ll find things to do on my own this evening. I’ll make a dinner for us and then clean up the kitchen while he returns to the books. I’ll probably do a bit of editing on my novel-in-progress, and maybe then I’ll do a bit of pleasure reading. I’m slowly making my way through a biography of Harry S, Truman, one of my favorite U.S. Presidents. Two years ago, I visited his presidential library in Independence, MO, a really cool experience. Anyway, I’m enjoying the book, but it’s about 800 ages long, and I am only two-thirds of the way through it.
Okay, I’m headed for the deck, folks. Have a nice Monday evening, wherever you are.
