If you follow this website then you know I like to surf on Florida’s east coast; I’ve done it since I was a teenager, when one of my friends got his driver’s license and we started taking our boards over there on day trips.
Now, I’m not a good surfer; I’m just an old longboarder. but I enjoy spending a couple of days over there with my boyfriend, whenever the surf is firing and the weather’s decent. (My boyfriend’s a far better surfer than me, by the way.)
One of the great things about surfing over there is all the beautiful guys you meet on the lineup when you’re waiting for waves. Most are completely oblivious to just how sexy they are; they take their beauty for granted, but I don’t. It’s always a treat to get into conversation with a guy who looks like the young men in today’s photo posts. Most are friendly and they’ll help you out of you get into trouble.
I rose around 7:30 this morning, to take my usual three-mile walk on the beach. It’s a beautiful day here today, perfect winter weather in Florida: 72 degrees, sunny, dry and still. In fact, it’s so beautiful I may eschew the YMCA today. I can take a long bike ride instead, and then I’ll do some yard work. Call me lazy, but I just don’t want to spend two hours indoors on a day like this. I have my doors and windows open and my patio fountain is gurgling. The birds are chirping and it all feels so good.
I did some good writing today, adding new material to my novel-in-progress, now approaching 107,000 words, a lengthy book by my standards. It’s almost lunchtime now, and after I dine I think I’ll take that bike ride I just mentioned. Have a wonderful Wednesday, friends. I hope it’s nice where you are today, as well.
