I love photos of gay couples who are clearly in love, and so I thought I’d share some with you guys today. I love the expressions on the faces of the guy in the top photo; you can tell they’re happy being together, and they are not ashamed of their feelings for each other. It looks like they’re lying on a beach somewhere. Why don’t we see more of this in public places?
The street festival we attended last night was kind of a bust, due to cold and windy weather that made it unpleasant to be outdoors, even if you bundled up like we did. We ended up standing inside a very crowded bar, to avoid the wind. Then we came home and I prepared a nice meal. We watched the Wisconsin/Michigan basketball game (Wisconsin won.) and then we went to bed.
I got up a little late today, but I still put in two hours writing new material for my novel-in-progress. It’s funny how first drafts in fiction go; you never know how long the story will go on or how it will end, at least if you’re a “by the seat of his pants” writer like me. I don’t believe in outlines. I like my characters to tell me how things should unfold. (It happens, believe me.) Anyway, this books is huge by my standards, and it’s nowhere close to getting finished.
This morning, I wrote a scene where the main character and his boyfriend are staying at a very nice hotel, all paid for my the main character’s parents. It’s a very romantic setting, and the two guys put their hotel bed to use, almost as soon as they walk in the door. The hotel they stay at actually exists, here on the island where I live. It’s very swanky. Maybe one day my boyfriend and I should rent a room there for night?
Okay, it’s a beautiful day outside, and I want to spend a good part of it outdoors. So I will close this post by wishing everyone a pleasant Sunday. I hope the sun is shining where you are as well.
