It’s the first week in April, of course, and this means Spring Break is still in full swing on our little island on the Gulf. The streets and beaches are full of college guys wearing boardshorts and little else, and the sights are nothing less than stellar. The photo to the left captures it all, I think. What a beautiful pair of butt cheeks. I wonder if he walks around like that all the time? I wouldn’t complain if he did. 😉
I woke up super early this morning, around 5:30. I got out of bed and made myself breakfast. Then I got to work on a writing project, well before the sun came up.
After sunrise, I visited the beach down the street for a three-mile walk along the shore. Conditions were nice down there. I wore shorts and a t-shirt and I was comfortable. A lot of people were down there, but no Spring Breakers. They were all sleeping off hangovers, I’m sure.
When I returned home I worked on the writing project for another two hours before taking a break. I had a nice talk on the phone with one of my oldest and closest friends, and then I watered houseplants. They needed it.
Now lunchtime is approaching and I’ll share a meal with my lovely boyfriend. He’ll spend the afternoon studying while I will take a fourteen-mile bike ride, here on the island, for exercise. Today is one of those rare April days when the wind is not blowing very hard, which makes for great cycling.
Okay, everyone, I need to get back to work, so I will close this post by wishing everyone a pleasant Thursday. If you’re a Spring Breaker, shake off that hangover, climb into your boardshorts, and hit the beach. I’ll be looking for you. 🙂
