I’m a sucker for guys with beautiful smiles. They make me want to smile, among other things. 😉 They say it takes a lot less effort to smile than it does to frown, so go ahead, give the next person you see a big grin. They’ll love you for it.
I love the smiles on the two young men in today’s photo posts. Don’t you?
I slept in a little later than usual this morning, with good reason. I didn’t get home from the Who concert until 11:30 last night, and I was so keyed up I couldn’t go to bed until one AM. The concert was amazing. The band sounded just like they do on their albums, and they played most all of my favorites, including We Won’t Get Fooled Again and Teenage Wasteland. The arena holds about 16,000 people, and very few seats were vacant. I’m sure glad I went.
It’s a quiet and cloudy day on our island today, which is fine by me. I spent my morning writing. I shared a nice lunch with my lovely boyfriend after he came home from classes, and then I took a fourteen-mile bike ride in a residential community were there’s little traffic and the roads are smooth. The cloudy sky made for perfect cycling weather because the clouds kept the temperature down. I barely broke a sweat.
Now I’m home and sitting in the air conditioning, just taking a little rest before I wash my car. The poor Element has been on the road a lot this month, to Cocoa Beach for a surfing trip, twice to the Ocala National Forest for hiking and canoeing, and then to my friend’s fishing camp which is about 85 miles north of here. The poor car is dusty and bug-specked, so it’s time I gave him a bath.
My boyfriend is working tonight, and I don’t really have any plans. I’ll have a few beers, cook myself a nice dinner, and maybe work on edits for my new novel. A quiet evening is fine with me, after all I’ve been up to.
Have a nice Thursday evening, friends. And don’t forget to smile, it’s important.
