Beach season is in high gear in west central Florida. Since I live in a beach community, that means our shoreline is mobbed with locals who flock here from nearby cities. We don’t mind, it’s mostly on the weekends, plus it means all sorts of beautiful young men can be seen on the sand in their swim trunks. It makes for interesting walks.
I think the guys in today’s photo posts look great in their swim trunks, don’t you? All right, the guy to the left is a bit on the slender side, but I kind of like that. Plus I lie his silly hat too. Something tells me he’s European.
The street festival out here was loads of fun last night. My entire family attended. The kids were able to run around as much as they pleased. The adults enjoyed beer and snacks and the band who played was pretty good. The weather was perfect: cool and breezy.
I ended up sleeping in this morning, and then I spent an hour reading the Sunday newspaper, a nice little luxury. I shared a nice lunch with my boyfriend, and now, after I complete this post, I need to do a quick cleaning of our vacation rental apartment next door. A couple from Europe are renting the apartment for two weeks and I need to be sure it’s sparkling for them when they get here tomorrow.
Outside, it’s another perfect beach day: sunny, warm but not hot, with a steady breeze to keep things pleasant. After I finish my cleaning job, I’ll take a three-mile walk on the beach.
The Tampa Bay Lightning have their second NHL playoff game against Montreal tonight, and we are hosting friends for dinner. I’ll cook burger on the charcoal grille, and then we’ll watch the game on TV. What better way to spend an evening?
Have a great Sunday, everyone.
