At least once a week I like to share good-quality black-and-white photography with you guys, and today is one of those days. I think both photos are quite beautiful, as are the young men appearing in them. Yeah, they are both as skinny as can be, but skinny’s okay in my book.
Today is yet another page in the book of my recovery from knee surgeries. I slept fairly well last night, but I rose super early this morning, around 6:15. I read the paper, did a crossword puzzle, brewed coffee and made breakfast.
Around 9:30 I said to myself, “It’s time to get your ass out of the house, Martin.” So, for the first time in a month, I gt in my car and drove to our island’s shopping center. First I got a badly-needed haircut. Then I visited both the pharmacy and the supermarket. Now, that may not sound like a lot, but for a person just a month out of knee replacement surgeries it was quite the accomplishment.
I arrived home kind of tired, but pleased with myself nonetheless. Now I don’t have to feel so dependent on others to do my shopping and errand-running for me.
It’s very quiet out her on the island today, although a fair amount of summer tourists seem to be milling around. It’s also very warm outside, in the low nineties, and not the kind of weather I enjoy. So, I’ll stay inside and do my physical therapy exercises. Maybe I’ll do a bit of editing on one f my novels-in-progress too.
Have a nice Friday, everyone.
