This coming Saturday morning, my boyfriend and two of our best friends will travel to Brevard County on Florida’s east coast, where all but me will do a bit of surfing. We planned this trip long before my knee surgery, and I assumed I’d be fully recovered by July 4th, but alas it isn’t the case. It’s okay, we have a two-room suite in an oceanfront hotel. We’ll dine on good seafood and watch fireworks on the beach Saturday night. But I won’t get to surf. 🙁
On of the great things about surfing over there is all the cute guys who are out on the water on their boards. They come in all shapes and sizes, and some are very accomplished surfers; they’re fun to watch for more than one reason. 😉
This morning I had to visit the Tax Collector’s Office in the city to register the boat and trailer we just purchased, and to get new license tags for both. I played it smart and got there early, so I didn’t have to wait at all. I was in and out in fifteen minutes. Bingo. Tomorrow, we’ll trailer the boat up to the marina where we will keep it for use at our fishing cabin on a river that flows into the Gulf of Mexico. It’s a beautiful and isolated place, one my boyfriend and I really love to visit. Lucky us ….
I don’t have a real busy day ahead. I have a physical therapy appointment at two PM. Afterward, I’ll hit the supermarket for a few things, and then I’ll come home. Tonight, friends are taking us out for dinner, and that’s about it. But I’m fine with the slow pace. We’ll have a very busy day tomorrow, and what with my knees still recovering, too much physical exertion is not good.
Okay, everyone, I need to do a few things before I have lunch, so I will close this post by wishing everyone a wonderful Thursday.
