The guy you see to the left is named Vince Kowalski, at least I think I am right on that. From what I understand he lives somewhere in Alaska, where he plays baseball and sims for his school. He also posts tons of his photos on the Internet via Instagram and other social media. He strikes me as a bit of a narcissist, but I guess if I looked like Vince maybe I might succumb to self-adoration myself.
Anyway, I thought I’d post some Kowalski photos today, and I hope you’ll enjoy them as much as I do. It seems a professional photographer has discovered Vince, so we’re no forced to rely only upon his selfies to enjoy his beauty. Well, I dragged my butt out of bed this morning at eight AM, so I could walk 1-1/2 miles on the beach down the street from my house. Before my knee surgeries I walked three mile down there every day, but I had to stop after the surgeries. Now that I’ve pretty well healed up, I ready to go back to my daily walks. I’ll do 1-1/2 miles at first, and then work y way back to three miles over the next month or so.
It was beautiful down on the beach this morning. A nice little breeze kept things from feeling too warm, and some cloud cover helped as well. It’s very quiet on our island at this time of year because almost all our summer tourists have gone home. (The kiddies have to go back to school, you know.) So, traffic is light and there are no crowds in our restaurants.
When I finished my walk I took a nice dip in the Gulf of Mexico, my first in many months, and then I showered on our outdoor patio when I got back to the house. It all felt so good.
After a quick breakfast I got busy editing a rather lengthy novel I wrote about five years ago, but never tried to market. I have resolved to completely re-write the book form beginning to end. I got about half-way through when my surgery came along, and then things stalled; I just did not have the energy to do the work, but now I do. I spent a good ninety minutes doing edits, and now it’s almost lunchtime.
You know, it’s nice to get back to my normal life. Now all I have to do is get my boyfriend back to his normal life after having his tonsils out. It’s been a week and he’s still restricted to liquids and soft foods, poor guy.
Have a nice Tuesday, everyone.
