Hi, friends and readers:
Here in central Florida it’s very warm and humid about five months of the year, beginning in June and continuing until late October. We beat the heat any number of ways, and one of them is swimming pools. For most of my adult life I’ve owned homes with pools, but not any longer. I live on a small island on the Gulf of Mexico and there’s no room for a pool on our lot, so we own a timeshare unit down the street with a nice pool and hot tub we can use year-round. It’s a great way to spend an hour in the evening at this time of year.
The guys in today’s photo posts seem to be enjoying their pools, don’t they?
I had to skip my morning beach walk today, since we were out late at the ball game, and then I had to get up early to drive my Element to the Honda dealer for servicing. Yeah, it’s a pain in the butt, but worth it to keep the car running well. The dealer’s on the opposite side of the city form where we live, so the drive was long, but my boyfriend followed me out there and then drove me home so I don’t have to wait at the dealer’s for three hours or more.
Now we’re home and enjoying the air conditioning. Outside it’s sweltering hot so we’ll stay inside and work on some quiet projects. I have bills to pay and correspondence to attend to, and I have a writing project to focus on, so I’ll stay busy. My boyfriend’s home all day, recuperating from his tonsil surgery, and we’ll share some time together as well. 😉
Have a great Thursday everyone. Stay cool ….
