I love photos of lover boys showing physical affection to each other; it’s the sort of thing you never saw when I was a young man. Being openly gay wasn’t socially acceptable to most people, and men rarely even hugged one another in public. That’s all changed now, especially with the recent Supreme Court ruling on same-sex marriage, and isn’t that refreshing.
I thought I’d share some of my favorite “lover boys” photos with you today, as a means of celebrating male/male love. I hope you’ll enjoy them as much as I do.
I rose at 7:30 this morning, to take a 2-1/2 mile walk on the beach. That’s right, I’m up to 2-1/2 miles, and soon I’ll be back to three. My new knees are really starting to perform, now that I’m past the three-month mark from my surgeries.
The beach was beautiful this morning. The Gulf was a calm as a mirror. I light breeze blew from the east, and the sun was partially obscured by clouds in the eastern horizon, which kept things nice and cool. There weren’t many people on the beach, and I found my thoughts dwelling on a time in my life when I went through some very traumatic times that are still painful to recall. Those events occurred when I was ages 12 through fourteen. I survived the adversities, and I came out a stronger person because of them, but it still hurts to relive them.
Oh, well, at the end of my walk I took a nice dip in the Gulf of Mexico, and then I showered on our patio. After a quick breakfast I got to work on submitting my new novel to a publishing house. I just finished up and sent in my submission, and now we’ll see what happens.
This afternoon, I’ll head into the city to visit the YMCA, and then I’ll spend the evening with my boyfriend. Have a great Friday, everyone.
