When I was in high school and college, my best friend was a guy named Curtis; we did everything together. There was nothing gay about our relationship. Curtis was straight, but he was accepting of my sexual orientation and was judgmental about it at all. He eventually got married and moved to south Florida. Now I never hear form him any more, and it’s kind of sad. But I still have my memories of all the good times we shared together.
If you have a best friend, then you’ve been given a gift you should cherish every day. You can never say, “Thanks for being my friend,” often enough.
I rose at seven this morning, and after I brewed coffee for my boyfriend (He had early job interviews today.) I took my three-mile walk on the beach. The Gulf was calm and very few people were about, although a soccer team from our local college was training down there, which made for some interesting sights. 😉
I’ve just finished working on my writing project for the day, and now it’s time to tend to correspondence. I have a physical therapy appointment at two PM, and that’s the only thing I have on my plate for the rest of the day.
Have a great Thursday, everyone.
