Hi, friends and readers:
I would not call myself a football junkie, but I attended the University of Florida as an under-graduate, and I’ve always been a Gator fan. The past few years the Gators have performed dismally under the leadership (or lack thereof) of Will Muschamp, who finally departed at the end of last season. The new Gator coach seems to have transformed the team, as has our new quarterback, Will Grier, whose photos you see here. The Gators beat Missouri last night, Their record is now 6-0, and they are in first place in the SEC East. Unbelievable ….
I had a great night last night, and not just because the Gators won. Our island’s quarterly street festival was a lot of fun, with good music and Shocktop beer on draft. A huge crowd showed up, in part due to the perfect weather. I stayed for about 90 minutes before I went home to watch the Gator game. I watched the first half by myself, and then a friend came by to watch the second half. I think I was in bed by 10:30; I was tired from all my efforts in the yard yesterday.
This morning I rose a little later than usual, but I still took my three-mile walk on the beach. Then, after a quick breakfast, I got busy on my new story-in-progress, which is coming along nicely. Now it’s almost lunchtime and after a quick meal I’ll travel to Home Depot to buy more mulch to complete the work I started yesterday. I have no plans for this evening, since my boyfriend is out of town until tomorrow.
Have agreat Sunday, everyone, and Go Gators!
