I’m always envious of guys with a nice, chiseled set of abdominal muscles, but it wouldn’t matter how many crunches I did at the gym, I would never have a six-pack, not at my age. Defined abs are something only guys between the ages of about 16 and 30 are lucky enough to have. Good abs require minimal body fat, you see, and few men can achieve that after their thirtieth birthday. Oh, well, we can always look …. 🙁
I rose at 7:45 this morning. It rained pretty hard on our island, all night long, but the rain finally subsided just about the time I left for my three-mile walk on the beach. Hardly anyone was at the shore, just a few shell-collectors, and my walk was really nice. I came home feeling relaxed and ready for the day ahead.
I have much to do today. This coming Friday we’re taking my boyfriend’s brother up to our fishing camp for the weekend, and that means I have to buy food and drink for the trip today. Beforehand I’ll visit the YMCA for a full workout, some treadmill jogging, and some lap-swimming. Then tonight our German guests will take us out to dinner at a nice seafood restaurant.
Sounds like a terrible day, huh? 😉
Outside, the sky is overcast and the air is damp. Very few people are fishing on the seawall down the street, and I’m sure few people are at the beach. It’ll be a quiet day on the island, and that’s okay. Have a great Wednesday, friends.
