Where you live it’s probably not the itme of year you’d go to the beach, but in west central Florida it’s often prime beachgoing weather in November, when the heat has dissipated, but the Gulf is still warm enough to swim in. On weekend especially, lots of sexy college boys flock to our island to sun themselves and stroll on our shore. It makes for interesting sights when I go down there myself. Ah-h-h, the joys if living on an island … 😉
I was up at 7:30 this morning, to take a three-mile walk on the beach. The weather was cool, damp, and overcast, but I didn’t mind. I wore a hoodie, but I still wore shorts and I walked barefooted which I like to do unless it’s really cold. Afterward I got busy working on fresh material for my new novel.
This is going to be a busy weekend for me and my boyfriend. First thing tomorrow morning we’ll toss our camping gear into my Honda Element, and then we’ll drive southward to attend an all-day, outdoor concert in a rural area about forty minutes from here, on the banks of a lovely river. We have rented a campsite right next to the concert venue, and we’ll take a cooler full of beer with us. They’r even selling food down there so we won’t have to cook.
Sunday morning we’ll return home, where I have a couple of painting projects that will consume much of my day. I’ve been putting them off until the weather cooled, and since my boyfriend has to study all day, it’ll keep me busy. Okay, I may take a break mid-day Sunday to take a walk on the beach if there’s a decent crowd down there. I wonder if the guy to the left here will be present. I sure hope so ’cause in my book he’s close to perfection …. 🙂
Okay, it’s almost lunchtime. After I dine I’ll head into the city to visit the YMCA for a workout and lap-swimming in the indoor pool. It’s always fun. Have a great Friday, everyone.
