I love seeing a good-looking guy who’s wearing nothing but a pair of boardshorts. I mean, how would you like to spend a day on a boat with Mr Sexy to the left here? By the way, those trees in the background are called mangroves, and that means the photo was likely taken somewhere in Florida. Do you think there’s a chance I might meet Mr. Sexy someday?
Rain was pounding my roof this morning when I got up, so that nixed my chance for a walk on the beach. Instead I brewed coffee and made my breakfast, and then I got busy at the keyboard, writing two new scenes for my novel-in-progress. As the morning progressed, the rain slacked off but then the wind began to blow pretty hard. The fronds on my coconut palms are thrashing about like tribal dancers, so it won’t be a very nice day, weather-wise, I’m afraid.
Tomorrow my boyfriend and I and two other friends were supposed to travel to the east coast to surf. We had a suite reserved at a hotel next to the Cocoa Beach Pier; it was going to be a fun time. But I checked the weather and surf reports this morning and conditions tomorrow will be terrible: cold and windy with no rideable swell. So, by consensus I cancelled our reservation. It’s too bad, but that’s surfing for you. You never know when conditions will change.
I’m done writing for the day, and it’s almost lunchtime. My boyfriend’s out Christmas shopping, so I’ll have lunch by myself, and then I’m off to the YMCA for a workout and lap-swimming in the indoor pool. Tonight’s the night we’ll bake Christmas cookies for our neighbors, and that’ll take up a large part of our evening. I’m fine with that; it’ll be too nasty to do anything outdoors, so I guess we’ll stay home after we deliver our cookies..
Have a nice Friday, everyone.
