I’m the world’s crappiest surfer, even thought I have surfed since I was a teenager (and that was a long time ago). But I do enjoy the sport, and so does my boyfriend, so several times a year we’ll travel to Brevard County on Florida’s east coast to ride some waves and savor the beauty of the Atlantic Ocean. I also like to savor the beauty of the surfers on the lineup as we wait for waves to roll in.. Some of them are knockouts, and most are friendly.
Winter semester classes began today for my boyfriend; he’s a law student and he’s now in the middle of his second year. He’s doing really well because he’s smart and self-disciplined, and I know he has a bright future ahead of him. Sadly, his classes today will keep him from visiting the YMCA with me today. 🙁 IN about an hour I will drive into the city for a full workout and, hopefully, lap-swimming if the pool’s not too crowded.
I don’t have much else planned for today, other than hitting the wine market on the way home from the YMCA. I guess the NCAA national championship game is on TV, and I know my boyfriend will want to watch at least part of the game. Me, I could care less about the game, but that’s okay.
It’s a pretty day here on the island: sunny and cool, with a light breeze tickling the fronds on our coconut palms. Have a wonderful Monday, friends, wherever you might be.
