When I was growing up being gay wasn’t socially acceptable, and even finding a boyfriend was next to impossible. That began to change when I was in college, and thankfully I found myself a partner to share life with. It made all the difference in the quality of my life. I was fortunate, too, because my family and friends were all very accepting of my sexual orientation when I came out to them. When I look at the photos I have posted here this morning I’m reminded of how liberating it felt to be open about being gay. A-h-h-h, youth …. 🙂
Well, my boyfriend and I attended a Super Bowl party last night, which was a very nice gathering. The food everyone brought was varied and quite tasty, and so was the wine. I didn’t really care much about the game although I watched it till about the middle of the fourth quarter, and then we came home.
I’ve had a lingering cold that has lasted about two weeks, and this morning I am still coughing, although I feel okay. I should take it easy today, but I don’t want to, not entirely. Either I will go to the gym for a workout or I’ll take a brisk, three-mile walk on the beach for exercise. Tonight a friend and I will attend a dinner party in the city while my poor boyfriend studies at home. 🙁
I’ll have much to do in the writing department this afternoon, so I will stay busy regardless of whatever exercise I choose to engage in. Outside, the sun is shining and the wind has stopped blowing, so it’s a nearly perfect day. Have a great Monday, everyone.
