I’ve never dated a cowboy. In fact I don’t think I’ve ever met a cowboy in person, not that I recall. But I understand they have a certain appeal, especially when they ditch their shirts.
The cowboy in the upper photo I actually talked to online several years ago, when he had just graduated from high school. He lived in a small Montana town and he’d played baseball for his school. He was considering going to college, somewhere he could live an openly gay life, which wasn’t possible in his hometown. I wonder if he ever made it?
Well, I completed phase one of my painting project this afternoon, after running to the paint store and then the supermarket and butcher shop. The paint job took about 2-1/2 hours, and it was tedious because I am painting a new bookcase my carpenter made for me. Do you know how much paint fresh wood sucks up? Lots ….
Anyway, I got the first of two coats on everything but the undersides of the shelves. It’s looking really good, and I think I can finish the job tomorrow if I tackle it early enough in the day. Thankfully our humidity is low right now, so the (oil base) paint will dry more quickly.
It’s going to get chilly tonight. I’m grilling cheeseburgers over charcoal tonight and our friend/neighbor is joining us for the meal. I cook really great burgers (I’m so modest.) so I am looking forward to a good meal. I’ll just have to bundle up while I grill on the patio.
Have a wonderful Saturday night, everyone. Yippee-tie-yie-yay: ride ’em, cowboy … 🙂
